The MG2b Safe application computes one-time passwords from a shared secret key and the current time.
Those passwords can be used as two factor authentication for secured account access in products like Facebook, Google GMAIL, Dropbox, or Microsoft Hotmail, called locations in the application.
The location name and shared secret can be scanned with the embedded QR Code Scanner and locations can be exported / imported.
The locations and their shared keys are crypted for optimal security.
The underlying technology is called Time based One Time Password (TOTP) and is an internet informational standard since 2011.
